ED Tracking Shell (Medical Imaging)

The Greaseboard is used to display a modified view of the Tracking Shell that is an efficient way for staff to locate patients.

In addition, the Greaseboard displays icons which communicate information about the patients and their care in the Emergency Department.

Use OOD (Out Of Department) when indicating a patient is in Medical Imaging.

Tracking Shell is an application available from the toolbar in PowerChart.

Ensure you select the correct location tab.

In the same row as the patients name locate the OOD column (Out of Department).

Click into the cell to bring up a drop-down.

Choose the appropriate statement from the drop-down menu (for example, RAD).

To return a patient to the Emergency Department, follow the same steps by choosing a statement from the drop-down menu.

To review the icons, columns, and their meanings please see the ED Tracking Shell Icons help topic.
