NOTES:

If the patient is currently admitted as an Inpatient or Day Surgery, Medical Imaging exams will be scheduled using these active encounters.

Allied health professionals will document on the most relevant encounter. If the treatment is independent of the visit, create a new Outpatient or Recurring encounter as applicable.

The Virtual Health encounter type is chosen for visits conducted over virtual health technology (i.e. Zoom or Skype).

The Phone Consult Encounter type is chosen for visits conducted over the phone

The Phone Message Encounter is used for documenting in between clinic visits when no relevant encounter exists for that patient (e.g. no pre-registered encounter for an upcoming visit). Only one Phone Message encounter per patient per location should be created.
