Learning Journeys and Materials
As part of every CST Cerner implementation, future users of the system (including physicians, clinicians and clerical staff) go through a CST Learning Journey. Each learning journey includes a sequence of learning activities, with different modalities and levels of specialization, that gives users the tools they need to start working with CST Cerner safely and with confidence.
The key activities of a CST Learning Journey are grouped, for ease of access and tracking purposes, in CST Cerner Curricula. Every user that will work on CST Cerner when the system goes live at their site are enrolled into at least one CST Cerner curriculum.
CST Learning Journeys and CST Cerner Curricula are different for different roles. While most providers (physicians, midwives and nurse practitioners) share a similar type of journey, non-provider’s CST Learning Journeys have different combinations of activities.
At the beginning of the Learning phase of an implementation, each learner will receive an email when they are enrolled in a CST Cerner curriculum.
WARNING: If you have been enrolled into a CST Cerner curriculum as part of your orientation for a new role at a site that is already live with CST Cerner, please disregard this page and follow the instructions provided by the IMITS Acute and Ambulatory Information Systems Team.
