SHOP is a central and externally accessible location for policies and clinical resources, and meets the single-point-of-access requirements for the Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) project.
SHOP enables staff to access policies and decision support documents from the patient chart. This access allows contractors, students, researchers and physicians to find information easily and efficiently, regardless of their physical location. It will also enable staff working in the community and residential care to access documents from all of their worksites.
All policies and clinical resources undergo a careful review before being placed on SHOP. Documents on SHOP will not contain personal information.
You can access SHOP from the patient chart toolbar or on the internet from anywhere, including from home or on your mobile or tablet device. This means you are not required to be on the hospital Network to access SHOP. This external access allows contractors, students, researchers and physicians to find information easily and efficiently, regardless of their physical location.

You can also access SHOP resources by clicking CST Cerner Help to access to the SHOP sites from eCoach in PowerChart or FirstNet.
Accessing SHOP also enables staff working in the community and residential care to access documents even when they’re not at a hospital site. SHOP will not be indexed by search engines so it will be necessary to know the website address or have a link to it. You can bookmark SHOP at: SHOP.
Since health organizations in British Columbia are public organizations, policies and operational documents are already available to the public on request. However, all policies and clinical resources will undergo careful review before being placed on SHOP. Documents on SHOP will not contain personal information.
